At Seffy Grove, we understand the critical role of cross-pollination in producing high-quality macadamia nuts. While wind and other insects contribute, bees are the most effective pollinators. As they collect nectar, bees transfer pollen between flowers, ensuring fertilization and nut development.

To support this, we’ve planted beneficial flowers throughout the farm to enhance biodiversity and provide additional forage for our bees. We also maintain 2 hives per hectare, significantly boosting yield and quality. Research shows orchards with strong bee activity can produce up to 70% more nuts, resulting in larger, more uniform harvests.

The Importance of Bees for Healthy Crops

Bees do more than increase yield—they improve crop health. Proper pollination leads to well-formed nuts and reduces deformed or unfilled ones, which helps us meet the strict quality standards of global markets.

Without sufficient bee activity, poor pollination could result in smaller, less valuable harvests.

By planting bee-friendly flowers and fostering biodiversity, we ensure Seffy Grove stays productive and consistently produces top-grade macadamia nuts for both local and international markets.

Economic Growth, Sustainability, and Innovation

Our Commitment

Our commitment goes beyond the farm. We’re building a network of outgrowers across the region, empowering local farmers to join us in growing macadamia and investing in their communities. Together, we’re fostering economic growth, sustainability, and innovation in one of the most fertile regions of the world.
