Seffy Grove’s Commitment to Sustainable Seed Production with Naseco

Seffy Grove is proud to partner with Naseco Seed Company, East Africa’s premier producer of high-yield, pest-resistant, and climate-resilient seeds. Through this collaboration, we’re bringing top-quality maize seed production to the region, dedicated to enhancing food security and agricultural resilience.

Our 95 hectares of land devoted to seed production reflect our commitment to sustainable farming and innovation in crop management.

We follow a crop rotation system, planting soybeans in alternating seasons with maize.

Crop Rotation and Soil Health

To maintain soil health and fertility, we follow a crop rotation system, planting soybeans in alternating seasons with maize. This rotation not only enriches the soil by fixing nitrogen naturally but also supports biodiversity on our farm. Additionally, our no-till farming practice conserves soil structure and moisture, helping us protect the land while producing high-quality seeds.

We perform regular soil tests to ensure nutrient levels are optimal and add agricultural lime to counteract the natural acidity of our soil. This boosts pH levels, enhancing nutrient uptake and contributing to robust crop growth. Together, these practices enable us to maintain a productive and sustainable farming ecosystem.

Economic Growth, Sustainability, and Innovation

Our Commitment

Our commitment goes beyond the farm. We’re building a network of outgrowers across the region, empowering local farmers to join us in growing macadamia and investing in their communities. Together, we’re fostering economic growth, sustainability, and innovation in one of the most fertile regions of the world.

Nurturing the Land, Empowering Communities, Committed to Quality.
